I had a conversation this past week that stopped me in my tracks. It may not have been earth shattering but it was the wakeup call that I needed.
If I am honest with myself, there have been subtle hints in my life that this was needed but I just chose not to listen.
The past few years for me have been filled with so many things leading me to who I am becoming. I have taken amazing trainings around transformational coaching, created some new positive habits to support myself and fallen in love with the practice of gratitude.
Along with this, I am always on the lookout for anything that will support my life, my family and business.
While all of this is great, my wakeup call is that I am not giving myself the space to process all of the latest changes in my life.
When the suggestion came that I give myself some space to let things percolate, I could feel the resistance in my body. In theory it sounded great, but I had to get things done, right?
Our lives may look different but I am sure you can relate about the need to get things done.
How many times do you get to the end of the day and wonder how you got there?
Could it be that you are so busy “doing” that you are not giving yourself a chance for “being?”
It may be possible that you need to give yourself permission to create that space in your life. You may think that you can’t take the time to do this but if you do, you may just find that this is where the magic happens!
By creating this space in your life, you will find that this will also be the place where growth happens. This could be the game changer that helps you move forward on the latest idea you have, connect more deeply with yourself or simply add more fun into your life.
Who doesn’t want more fun in their life? I know that I do.
Where can you add more space into your life? Would it be best to schedule it into your calendar? Pick a time to become unplugged?
It’s all about what you think would work best for you.
Take a peek at your calendar and see where you can fit it in. It doesn’t have to be a big block of time. It’s all about getting started!
