When was the last time you took on something you had never done before with gusto?
Maybe some great idea you had been mulling around in your mind or some spur of the moment big idea?
How did it turn out for you? Did you have trouble tackling this new unknown?
It’s so easy to make the “unknown” much bigger than it needs to be. I have no doubt you know what I’m talking about here!
I’m currently in the process of creating a Facebook group for women who are ready to start saying YES to themselves. This is all new territory for me and I’m finding it so easy to make this much more difficult than it needs to be. Yep…making things much bigger than they need to be is something that comes easy for me.
Knowing that the Facebook group will never make it to launch status if I continue the way I’m going, it’s time to look at it in a different way.
Instead of letting this unknown get bigger than it needs to be, I am going to look at it as something I don’t know how to do YET.
After all, how am I going to create this community of support, connection and fun if I get so hung up on the details?
Where in your life do you find yourself making things bigger than they need to be? How could you shift that perspective into something you simply don’t know how to do YET?
Thinking about it this way feels so much more expansive than focusing on what you don’t know how to do in the present moment.
What currently stops you from moving forward? What do you make bigger than it has to be? I would love to hear what bubbled up for you when reading this post so feel free to comment below. Should you have any questions or want to connect, you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
